Battlefields Tour of Belgium
On the 29th of November, 40 students attended a trip to the Battlefields of Belgium, where we experienced first-hand a range of different sites and monuments, all relating to World War One.
The students enjoyed the day and had the following comments to make:
Going to the British cemetery gave me an insight into how many British soldiers died in the war – Jonny Landrigan
I liked going to the Last Post Ceremony because I got to carry the wreath and felt honoured to remember the soldiers – Tommy-Ray Fairman
The best bit for me was the British cemetery because I got to see my great-grandfather’s name marked – Luke Ricketts
